Benazir Bhutto Shot Dead

Benazir Bhutto, the Pakistani former Prime Minister, was shot dead yesterday by an assassin in front of many others. Ms Benazir Bhutto, a charismatic and favorite of many Pakistani people, was shot in the neck and then the gunman blew himself up. There were a lot of people who also got killed, with at least 20 people reported dead and many more injured from the explosion. Sadly, Benazir Bhutto was the one who was targeted and killed.

The Benazir Bhutto assassination has instantly plunged the country into chaos. President Musharraf has called for calm but also declared revenge on those who assassinated Benazir Butto. Pakistan news has also reported a red alert high security blanket thrown across the Pakistan country as a result of the Benazir Bhutto assassination.

No one has so far claimed reponsibility for shooting Benazir Bhutto. But what is clear is that with the death of Benazir Bhutto, another dark chapter in the history of Pakistan news has been opened.
